About the role

PyTorch, Hugging Face, and a genuine commitment to making developer documentation understandable are the core of what we build. Our mission is to make complex APIs explainable to developers who don't have time to read six hundred pages of reference docs. This role sits at the research edge of that mission: you'll prototype and evaluate new model approaches for automatically generating and validating developer-facing content, then hand off what works to the engineering team to productionize. Reliability matters, since a wrong code sample in our docs breaks someone's afternoon, so every model you ship needs solid evaluation behind it.

Responsibilities

  • Research and prototype new model approaches for documentation generation
  • Evaluate model outputs rigorously before handoff to engineering
  • Fine-tune Hugging Face models for our documentation domain
  • Containerize research prototypes with Docker for reproducibility
  • Collaborate with engineering on productionizing validated approaches

Requirements

  • 5+ years of applied ML research experience
  • Strong PyTorch and Hugging Face skills
  • Experience designing rigorous model evaluation frameworks
  • Comfortable working with Docker for reproducible research
  • Ability to communicate research findings to engineering teams
