About the role

We serve over 200 enterprise clients in the retail and grocery sector. The person in this role will help us answer a question our clients ask constantly: which loyalty members are about to stop redeeming points? Our existing demand forecasting models are strong, but loyalty churn has been handled with basic rule-based flags until now. You'll build the first proper predictive model for this, working under the guidance of our senior data science lead while owning the end-to-end pipeline from raw transaction logs to a churn risk score.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Build and validate a churn prediction model for retail loyalty program members
  • Clean and join transaction, redemption, and enrollment datasets
  • Present model results and risk segments to client success managers
  • Support monthly retraining as new transaction data arrives

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience with Python and pandas for data analysis
  • Basic understanding of classification models and evaluation metrics
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries against large transactional tables
  • Eagerness to learn retail domain specifics from senior teammates
