AI Robotic Arm Trajectory Optimization Engineer

About the role

PyTorch, reinforcement learning, and real factory floor data are the core of what we build. If you've ever wanted your models to control physical hardware instead of just predicting a label, this role is for you. Our robotic arms handle high-precision assembly tasks across a dozen production lines, and every millisecond of wasted motion costs real money. You'll design trajectory optimization policies that reduce cycle time while keeping torque and collision constraints intact, working directly with our controls engineering team on the plant floor.

Responsibilities

  • Develop reinforcement learning policies for robotic arm trajectory optimization
  • Simulate and validate motion plans before deployment to physical hardware
  • Collaborate with controls engineers to integrate policies into the PLC stack
  • Monitor live trajectory performance and retrain policies as line configurations change

Requirements

  • Deep experience with reinforcement learning applied to robotics or control systems
  • Strong PyTorch and simulation environment skills (MuJoCo, Isaac Gym, or similar)
  • Familiarity with containerized deployment on edge compute
  • Comfortable working alongside mechanical and controls engineering teams
