AI Robotic Palletizing Vision Engineer

About the role

Our palletizing robots misjudge box orientation about once every four hundred cycles, and that one miss costs a line ten minutes of downtime. We're looking for someone who can cut that error rate in half using better pose estimation and smarter fallback logic. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints, clear ownership, and weekly syncs with the plant operations leads who depend on your models. This is production work, not a research exercise — your changes ship to real warehouse floors within weeks, and you'll see the downtime numbers move because of it.

Responsibilities

  • Own pose estimation models for irregular box shapes on the packing line
  • Reduce false-positive stops triggered by the current vision stack
  • Package and deploy models to edge devices running in warehouses

Requirements

  • 5+ years in computer vision for industrial or robotics settings
  • Strong pytorch and containerization skills
  • Experience deploying models to constrained edge hardware
