About the role

Our cloud spend forecasting and reserved instance optimization tools already save clients real infrastructure money, but the same finance teams keep asking us about a much bigger line item sitting untouched: unused SaaS software seats. Companies routinely pay for hundreds of licenses nobody has opened in months. This role builds the analysis layer that tracks license usage across a client's SaaS stack and recommends which seats to reclaim before the next renewal.

Responsibilities

  • Track SaaS license usage signals across connected client tools
  • Build recommendation models for seat reclamation before renewal dates
  • Estimate cost savings and report impact to client finance teams
  • Maintain integrations as new SaaS tools are added to client stacks

Requirements

  • Strong SQL skills for usage and billing data analysis
  • Comfortable with statistical analysis of usage patterns
  • Some exposure to SaaS or IT asset management data
  • Ability to communicate savings clearly to finance stakeholders
