About the role

We just expanded our risk modeling team after a strong year and need to move fast without cutting corners on model safety. Our clients include institutional investors who require rigorous documentation of how every risk model behaves under stress. This role focuses on identifying failure modes in our production models before they cause problems, not after.

Responsibilities

  • Stress-test production risk models for failure modes
  • Build monitoring that flags model behavior drift early
  • Document known model limitations for compliance review
  • Partner with quant teams to validate model assumptions
  • Investigate anomalies flagged by automated monitoring

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with statistical or ML models in production
  • Strong Python skills with pandas and scikit-learn
  • Solid grounding in statistics and hypothesis testing
  • Experience with PyTorch is a plus
  • Comfortable writing clear documentation for compliance audiences
