About the role

Commodity traders pay millions for satellite imagery that tells them crop yields before harvest reports. Insurance companies use it to assess storm damage before adjusters arrive. Intelligence agencies monitor infrastructure changes across entire continents. Our platform processes 40TB of satellite imagery daily and extracts the signals that drive billion-dollar decisions. You'll build the detection and change analysis models: object detection across multi-spectral imagery, temporal change detection comparing imagery over weeks and months, and the classification pipelines that turn raw pixels into actionable intelligence — construction activity, crop health indices, flood extent mapping, and infrastructure monitoring. Satellite imagery is unlike any other CV domain. Resolutions vary from 30cm to 30m per pixel. Atmospheric conditions corrupt images. Seasonal changes create false positives. You'll need to handle these challenges while maintaining detection accuracy that clients stake their decisions on.

Responsibilities

  • Build object detection models for multi-spectral satellite imagery analysis
  • Design temporal change detection comparing imagery across weeks and months
  • Develop classification pipelines for crop health, construction, and infrastructure monitoring
  • Handle atmospheric correction and seasonal variation in imagery processing
  • Scale processing infrastructure for 40TB daily satellite imagery intake

Requirements

  • 6+ years in computer vision with remote sensing or geospatial experience
  • Strong PyTorch skills for detection and segmentation models
  • Experience with multi-spectral imagery and atmospheric correction
  • Understanding of geospatial coordinate systems and projections
  • Track record processing large-scale imagery datasets in production
