AI SEO Content Gap Analyzer Developer

About the role

Content marketers know they should write about what their audience searches for. The problem is figuring out what that is, and more importantly, what their competitors cover that they don't. Our SEO content gap analyzer crawls competitor content, maps it against search intent clusters, and identifies the gaps where our clients can win with new content. You'll build the NLP pipeline that powers this analysis: topic extraction from competitor pages, semantic clustering of search queries into intent groups, and gap scoring that ranks opportunities by traffic potential and competitive difficulty. The pipeline processes 500,000 pages per week across our client portfolio and needs to produce actionable recommendations, not just data dumps. The content intelligence team is four engineers. You'll own the gap analysis module while others handle crawling infrastructure and the reporting frontend. Every recommendation gets tracked against actual content performance — if we say a gap is worth 10,000 monthly visits, we measure whether content filling that gap actually gets there.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP pipelines for topic extraction and semantic clustering of search queries
  • Design gap scoring algorithms ranking opportunities by traffic potential
  • Process 500,000 competitor pages weekly through the analysis pipeline
  • Track recommendation accuracy against actual content performance
  • Integrate new data sources: SERP features, People Also Ask, related queries
  • Collaborate with content strategists on recommendation quality

Requirements

  • 1+ year working with NLP or text analytics applications
  • Basic familiarity with topic modeling or text clustering
  • Python and SQL skills for data processing
  • Interest in SEO concepts: search intent, keyword difficulty, SERP analysis
  • Eagerness to learn content marketing analytics
