About the role

Have you ever pushed a serverless ML function update at 5pm on a Friday and spent the whole weekend manually rolling it back after it started throwing errors in production? Our clients include mid-size fintech and healthcare companies where every deployment mistake gets noticed immediately by compliance teams. The team you'd join is building automated rollback tooling that detects error rate spikes after a serverless function deploy and reverts to the last known-good version without anyone needing to page an engineer at midnight. This contract-to-hire role starts with a defined three-month engagement building the detection and rollback logic, with a clear path to a permanent seat on the platform team if it's a good fit on both sides.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated error-rate detection for serverless function deployments
  • Design rollback logic that reverts to last known-good versions
  • Partner with compliance-focused clients to define rollback thresholds
  • Document rollback incidents for client audit requirements

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with AWS Lambda or similar serverless platforms
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes-based deployments
  • Comfortable communicating incident findings to non-technical stakeholders
