About the role

Brands need to know what people say about them online — not just volume, but sentiment, topic, and the difference between a viral complaint that needs immediate response and routine chatter. Our social listening platform tracks brand mentions across social media, forums, and review sites, using AI to separate signal from noise and surface the conversations that matter. As a freelance social listening analyst, you'll work on client monitoring campaigns: configuring mention tracking for brand terms and competitors, reviewing AI sentiment classifications for accuracy, building topic clustering that groups related conversations, and generating the weekly intelligence reports that marketing teams use to guide their social strategy. Social data is messy — sarcasm confuses sentiment models, brand names appear in unrelated contexts, and viral moments shift conversation volumes by 100x overnight. You'll develop judgment about what social signals are meaningful and which are noise.

Responsibilities

  • Configure brand mention tracking across social media and review platforms
  • Review and correct AI sentiment classifications for client monitoring
  • Build topic clustering grouping related social conversations
  • Generate weekly social intelligence reports for marketing teams
  • Identify viral moments and escalate reputation-relevant conversations
