About the role

AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes are the foundation of what our platform runs on. What we have already: a payments infrastructure processing millions of transactions daily. What's missing: a senior architect who can design how our next wave of AI-driven risk and routing features gets built on top of it without breaking anything that currently works. Your role is part technical design, part translator between engineering and product on what's actually feasible.

Responsibilities

  • Design system architecture for new AI-driven payment features
  • Evaluate build-vs-buy tradeoffs for infrastructure components
  • Work directly with product leadership to scope technical roadmaps
  • Review designs from engineering teams for scalability risks
  • Set standards for multi-cloud deployment across the platform

Requirements

  • 7+ years in software or ML architecture roles
  • Deep experience with both AWS and Azure environments
  • Strong grasp of container orchestration with Kubernetes
  • Track record of designing systems at meaningful transaction scale
  • Comfortable presenting technical tradeoffs to non-technical stakeholders
