About the role

We're building the next generation of AI-powered highlight tools for broadcasters who need clips ready within minutes of a big play, not hours. Our current system flags exciting moments reasonably well, but it ranks them purely on crowd noise, which misses plenty of tactically important plays that fans actually want to rewatch. You'll build a ranking model that blends game-state signals with audience reaction data to surface the clips producers should cut first. This is a fast-moving team with a real broadcast deadline every single week, so your models need to work under pressure, not just in a notebook.

Responsibilities

  • Build a highlight ranking model combining game state and crowd signals
  • Partner with broadcast producers to validate ranking quality live
  • Monitor model performance during real-time game broadcasts

Requirements

  • 3+ years working with streaming or real-time data pipelines
  • Comfortable with spark and kafka in production
  • Interest in sports analytics or broadcast technology
