AI Sports Injury Replay Analysis Engineer

About the role

We're building the vision system that helps team medical staff review potential injury moments within seconds of them happening on the field. Our problem: broadcast footage alone doesn't give medical staff enough angle coverage or slow-motion detail to make a fast, confident call about whether a player needs to come off. We publish our methodology internally and expect the team to read relevant biomechanics and computer vision research before implementing. You'll build the model that flags likely injury moments from multi-camera feeds and reconstructs the motion for medical review, working closely with athletic trainers who will actually use your output courtside.

Responsibilities

  • Build models flagging likely injury moments from multi-camera feeds
  • Reconstruct player motion for medical staff review
  • Collaborate with athletic trainers on usability of outputs
  • Read and apply relevant biomechanics and CV research
  • Optimize model latency for near-real-time courtside use

Requirements

  • 6+ years in computer vision, ideally with motion or pose estimation
  • Strong PyTorch and TensorFlow experience
  • Familiarity with sports biomechanics a plus
  • Experience deploying low-latency vision models
  • Comfortable working alongside medical and athletic staff
