AI Subscription Tier Recommendation Engineer

About the role

You'll be the third growth engineer on a team of twelve, working directly with our head of monetization. We already model churn and activation signals well, but we've never had a system that tells each account which subscription tier actually fits their usage pattern. Your job is to close that gap: build a recommendation engine that suggests upgrades, downgrades, or add-ons based on real usage telemetry, then measure whether it moves net revenue. This is a hands-on role with a direct line to pricing decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full pipeline from usage telemetry to tier recommendation scoring
  • Partner with product to surface recommendations inside the billing dashboard
  • Run A/B tests to measure revenue impact of recommended tier changes
  • Maintain and retrain the recommendation model as pricing tiers evolve

Requirements

  • 3+ years applying scikit-learn or similar ML libraries to product recommendation problems
  • Solid SQL skills for working with usage and billing event data
  • Experience running and interpreting A/B tests
  • Bonus: prior experience in SaaS pricing or monetization teams
