About the role

The models you build will be reviewed by surgeons before operations that affect patient outcomes. Orbio AI is expanding from radiology screening into preoperative AI — building tools that help surgical teams plan complex procedures using 3D anatomical reconstruction and risk stratification models. The stakes are real, and the validation bar is clinical-grade. In this role, you'll develop computer vision models for 3D anatomical structure segmentation from CT and MRI data, build risk stratification models that flag surgical complexity based on patient anatomy and comorbidities, and work with our clinical team to validate model outputs against surgeon consensus. You'll also contribute to the regulatory documentation required for FDA 510(k) submission. Orbio operates at the frontier of applied clinical AI. Our team includes machine learning researchers and practicing surgeons. If you want your models to matter in a way that's immediately legible — a surgeon uses your output to make a better incision plan — this is the environment.

Fully remote.
