AI Sustainability Report Boilerplate Detector

About the role

NLP similarity models and a growing archive of ESG filings are the core of what we build. If you've worked on document similarity or plagiarism detection before, this role will feel familiar: too many corporate sustainability reports reuse the same vague boilerplate language year after year, and our clients want to know when that's happening in their own filings or a competitor's. We already have a working prototype trained on a small dataset, but it isn't accurate enough for production. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints and clear ownership to take it from prototype to deployed system.

Responsibilities

  • Improve boilerplate and similarity detection across ESG filings
  • Benchmark detection accuracy against a labeled filing archive
  • Partner with the research team to define similarity thresholds

Requirements

  • 3+ years with NLP or document similarity models
  • Experience with text embedding and clustering techniques
  • Comfortable working with messy, real-world filing text
