AI Synthetic Voice Dataset Compliance Engineer

Savannah Watanabe

Full-time · Job · London

About the role

We publish internally and encourage conference submissions, and this role sits right at the intersection of research rigor and legal exposure. Synthetic voice datasets we generate for customers must be provably free of any identifiable characteristics traceable back to a real speaker in our training corpus. You'll build the statistical tests that verify this before a dataset ships, working closely with legal to define what "sufficiently synthetic" actually means in practice.

Responsibilities

  • Build statistical re-identification tests for synthetic voice datasets
  • Define and document compliance thresholds with legal counsel
  • Publish internal methodology papers for research review
  • Audit third-party synthetic datasets before customer delivery

Requirements

  • Strong statistics background, ideally with privacy or re-identification research
  • Experience with pytorch and hugging face audio model tooling
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with legal and compliance
  • Published research or conference submissions a plus

Benefits

  • Fully remote position
  • Conference submission and travel budget
  • Private health insurance
  • Sabbatical eligibility after three years
