About the role

We just landed our first two enterprise LLM security clients and need someone who can ship detection tooling in weeks, not quarters. Python, LangChain, and the OpenAI API are what you'll use daily to build red-team probes that extract system prompts from deployed LLM applications, then package the findings into detection rules clients can run continuously. We believe every organization deploying an LLM product deserves to know if their system prompt can be extracted by a curious user — this role turns that belief into a shippable product feature.

Responsibilities

  • Build red-team probes for system prompt extraction attacks
  • Package findings into reusable detection rules for clients
  • Continuously test detection rules against new extraction techniques
  • Document attack patterns for the client-facing knowledge base
  • Collaborate with client security teams on remediation

Requirements

  • Experience with LLM red-teaming or prompt security research
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with LangChain and OpenAI API
  • Freelance availability, roughly 25-30 hours per week
  • Comfortable working independently with light oversight
