AI Technical Content Prompt Engineer

About the role

We're a fully async team spread across nine time zones, and we believe great engineers thrive when they own outcomes rather than waiting for instructions on every prompt tweak. You'll write and refine prompts that generate first-draft technical explanations from raw changelog and commit data, then work with our editorial team to close the gap between AI draft and publish-ready copy. This contract-to-hire role gives you three months to prove the fit before we extend a full-time offer, with clear milestones set from day one.

Responsibilities

  • Write prompts generating technical draft content from changelogs
  • Iterate on prompt quality based on editor feedback
  • Track prompt performance metrics over the contract period
  • Collaborate with editorial on tone consistency

Requirements

  • 1+ year of prompt engineering or technical writing experience
  • Basic SQL skills for reviewing content performance data
  • Comfortable with LangChain-based prompt pipelines
  • Strong written English communication skills
