AI Technical Demo Automation Engineer

About the role

Enterprise AI sales cycles die in technical demos. The sales engineer shows a generic demo that doesn't match the prospect's industry, data, or use case — and the prospect mentally checks out. Our demo automation platform generates personalized technical demos that use the prospect's own terminology, industry data patterns, and relevant use cases, making every demo feel custom-built. You'll build the demo personalization engine: ingesting prospect profile data (industry, company size, tech stack, stated pain points), selecting the right demo scenario and sample data, and configuring the product to showcase features most relevant to their needs. The output isn't a slide deck — it's a fully functional product instance pre-loaded with industry-appropriate data and configured for the prospect's use case. This is a 5-month freelance engagement. You'll work with our sales engineering team who defines what makes a demo compelling and our product team who provides the API hooks for demo configuration.

Responsibilities

  • Build demo personalization engine from prospect profile data
  • Select and configure industry-appropriate demo scenarios and sample data
  • Automate product instance provisioning for personalized demos
  • Design demo templates for top 10 industry verticals
  • Measure demo conversion rate improvement against generic baselines
  • Document demo automation for sales engineering self-service

Requirements

  • 3+ years in automation engineering or developer tools
  • Experience with API-driven product configuration
  • Strong Python and Docker skills for environment provisioning
  • Understanding of enterprise sales processes and demo workflows
  • Ability to work with non-technical sales teams on requirements
