Our mission is to make property risk visible before closing day, not after. This role focuses on flagging title defects — liens, easements, boundary disputes — by cross-referencing county records against historical claim data. You'll work under a senior data scientist while learning the domain, starting with model monitoring and defect-pattern labeling before moving into feature work. It's a good fit if you want real mentorship rather than being thrown at an ambiguous problem on day one.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor defect-flagging model performance across county datasets
  • Label and validate title defect patterns with senior review
  • Build reporting on false-negative risk for underwriting teams
  • Assist with feature engineering from county record extracts

Requirements

  • 1-2 years experience with python and sql for tabular data
  • Familiarity with scikit-learn model evaluation workflows
  • Interest in real estate or insurance data domains
  • Comfortable asking questions and working closely with a mentor
