About the role

Clinical trial coordinators, hugging face models, and a growing library of eligibility criteria templates are what you'll work with daily. If you're early in your NLP career and want to work on something with real stakes, this role screens patient records against trial eligibility criteria so coordinators can spend less time on manual chart review and more time with patients who actually qualify.

Responsibilities

  • Build NLP pipelines matching patient records to trial eligibility criteria
  • Fine-tune retrieval components to reduce false eligibility matches
  • Support coordinators with edge cases the model flags as unclear
  • Maintain the criteria template library alongside clinical staff

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience in NLP or healthcare data
  • Familiarity with retrieval-augmented generation concepts
  • Interest in clinical or healthcare domain text
  • Comfortable working two days a week in our Chicago office
