AI Vendor Contract Compliance Extraction Engineer

About the role

We serve over 150 mid-market clients who need every vendor contract checked against their compliance policy before signature. The compliance team currently reads every contract manually, and this role builds the extraction engine that pulls key clauses out automatically for review. We publish internal benchmarks and expect the implementation to be grounded in current clause-extraction research, not just a keyword search. Your work becomes the first line of defense before a contract reaches legal.

Responsibilities

  • Build a clause-extraction engine for vendor contract review
  • Benchmark extraction accuracy against a labeled contract set
  • Partner with the compliance team on required clause coverage

Requirements

  • 3+ years building NLP extraction pipelines
  • Familiarity with RAG or document-understanding research
  • Comfortable working hybrid with the compliance team
