AI Vendor Contract Renewal Reminder Engineer

About the role

Fast-moving team, big problem: procurement teams keep missing vendor contract renewal windows and either auto-renewing bad deals or losing leverage to negotiate better ones. We built a tool that extracts key dates from contract PDFs, and now we need someone to own the reminder engine that turns those dates into timely, well-timed alerts routed to the right procurement owner. You'll write Airflow jobs that scan for upcoming renewals, build SQL logic to route alerts based on contract value and owner, and iterate quickly based on which reminders actually get acted on.

Responsibilities

  • Build Airflow jobs that scan extracted contract data for upcoming renewal dates
  • Write SQL routing logic that sends alerts to the correct procurement owner
  • Track which reminders lead to real action and tune timing and channel accordingly
  • Fix edge cases where extracted dates are ambiguous or incorrect

Requirements

  • Basic Python and SQL skills
  • Some familiarity with Airflow or willingness to learn quickly
  • Comfortable working with imperfect, extracted data
  • Interest in procurement or contract operations workflows
