AI Vendor Risk Questionnaire Automation Engineer

About the role

Every new vendor our enterprise clients bring on triggers a lengthy third-party risk questionnaire, and today someone on the compliance team manually reads each vendor's response against internal risk criteria before sign-off. That review takes days per vendor and doesn't scale as our clients add more AI vendors to their stack. We need someone to build automation that reads vendor questionnaire responses, checks them against configurable risk criteria, and flags only the ambiguous cases for a human. You'll work directly with our governance and legal stakeholders who ultimately sign off on every vendor relationship.

Responsibilities

  • Build automation that parses vendor risk questionnaire responses
  • Flag responses that fail or fall short of configured risk criteria
  • Integrate review automation into the existing vendor onboarding pipeline
  • Work with legal and governance teams to encode risk scoring rules
  • Maintain an audit trail of automated review decisions

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience building automation or rules-based systems
  • Experience with LangChain or similar LLM orchestration tools
  • Comfortable translating policy language into structured checks
  • Familiarity with vendor risk or third-party compliance practices
  • Strong written communication for cross-functional collaboration
