About the role

We serve streaming platforms that localize films into more than 30 languages a month. Our clients include major studios where lip-sync accuracy and timing precision are contractual requirements, not nice-to-haves — a poorly synced dub gets flagged in QA and delays a release. The person in this role will own the synchronization layer that aligns translated and dubbed audio to original video timing, accounting for differences in phoneme length and speech rate across languages. This work feeds directly into deliverables our clients sign off on before broadcast. Reliability and auditability matter here: every synchronization decision needs to be traceable and reproducible, since our clients occasionally request a full QA trail on a title before it ships to their platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own the audio-video synchronization layer for dubbed content across languages
  • Build models that adjust for phoneme length and speech rate differences
  • Maintain reproducible synchronization logs for client QA audits
  • Partner with the subtitle QA team on cross-checking timing accuracy
  • Support client escalations on synchronization defects with root cause analysis

Requirements

  • Experience with audio processing and speech alignment models
  • Comfortable working with PyTorch and Hugging Face audio models
  • Understanding of multilingual speech timing and phoneme variation
  • Able to produce clear, auditable documentation for enterprise clients
