AI Voice Search Intent Clustering Engineer

About the role

We publish internally and encourage conference submissions, and this role sits right at that intersection of applied research and shipped product. Voice search queries arrive noisier and more varied than typed ones, and our current intent classifier struggles with the long tail. You'll build a clustering layer that groups unrecognized voice queries into emerging intent categories, feeding directly into how we prioritize which new intents to support next. Expect to read papers on intent discovery and embedding methods, implement the promising ones, and validate results against real voice traffic from our Singapore office's regional deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Build clustering pipelines that group unrecognized voice queries into emerging intents
  • Implement and evaluate embedding methods from recent intent discovery research
  • Partner with the intent taxonomy team to prioritize new intent categories
  • Present findings internally and contribute to conference submissions where relevant

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Hugging Face models for embeddings and classification
  • Solid scikit-learn skills for clustering and evaluation
  • Comfort reading and implementing findings from NLP research papers
  • Willingness to work on-site at our Singapore office
