About the role

Ten robots queuing for one charging dock can grind an entire warehouse shift to a halt, and that's the exact failure mode this role exists to prevent. We already have solid fleet coordination and task allocation models running across our client warehouses. What's missing is a scheduler that predicts charging needs ahead of time and stages robots so charging never blocks active picking work. You'll join a cross-functional squad with defined sprints and clear ownership, starting as a contract-to-hire engineer with conversion to full-time expected after a successful 4-month trial.

Responsibilities

  • Build predictive charging schedulers for warehouse robot fleets
  • Integrate scheduling logic with existing task allocation systems
  • Validate scheduler performance against live warehouse deployments
  • Partner with operations teams to tune scheduling parameters

Requirements

  • 3+ years in robotics, reinforcement learning or fleet systems
  • Python proficiency, reinforcement learning experience a plus
  • Comfortable with a hybrid schedule, two days on-site
  • Open to a contract-to-hire arrangement
