About the role

We have several subscription apps, a lot of event data, and too many metric definitions that made sense at the time. The result is that product, marketing, and finance are all close to the truth but not always using the same one. We want an analytics engineer who can clean up that layer without turning the work into bureaucracy. Good SQL, good judgment, good documentation. The kind of person who knows that naming things correctly now saves a lot of pain later.

Responsibilities

  • Own core product metric definitions across acquisition, activation, retention, and subscription conversion
  • Rebuild inconsistent event-derived models into a cleaner analytics layer
  • Partner with product managers, analysts, and engineers on instrumentation quality
  • Implement tests and documentation so metric changes are deliberate and traceable
  • Support experiment analysis with clear, consistent data foundations

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of analytics engineering or product analytics infrastructure work
  • SQL for complex transformations and readable metric logic
  • Python for testing, validation, and support tooling
  • Snowflake or equivalent warehouse experience
  • Power BI or Tableau for downstream stakeholder consumption and QA
  • Statistics for experimentation and metric interpretation
