Clinical NLP Engineer — Medical Summarisation

We build AI tools for hospital systems. Our newest product automatically summarises clinical notes for care transitions — when a patient is discharged, the system produces a structured handoff document for the receiving provider. We need a clinical NLP engineer to improve our summarisation quality. The current model is good on straightforward cases and poor on patients with multiple comorbidities, complex medication histories and non-standard clinical language. You'll work with our clinical team (doctors who review outputs daily), our annotation team, and our data science infrastructure team. HIPAA compliance is non-negotiable. All patient data is de-identified before it reaches our models.
