Computer Vision ML Engineer

About the role

We monitor construction sites from above. Our drones capture daily imagery of active projects — foundations, framing, roofing, utilities — and our CV models track progress, detect safety violations, and flag deviations from the building plan. Think of it as a visual project management system powered by AI. You'll work on the core detection models: object recognition for construction equipment and materials, change detection between daily flyovers, and anomaly detection for safety hazards like missing guardrails or unsecured scaffolding. The data is rich, labeled, and constantly growing. Our team is 8 engineers across London and Berlin. We deploy on GCP and use PyTorch for everything model-related. You'll own features from dataset curation through model training to API deployment.

Responsibilities

  • Train object detection models for construction equipment and materials
  • Build change detection algorithms comparing daily drone imagery
  • Develop anomaly detection for construction safety violations
  • Deploy models as APIs on GCP with monitoring and versioning
  • Curate and expand labeled datasets with the annotation team

Requirements

  • 3+ years in computer vision with production model deployments
  • Strong PyTorch skills for detection and segmentation tasks
  • Experience with aerial or satellite imagery preferred
  • Familiarity with GCP and Docker for model serving
  • Good communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
