About the role

We're building AI tools for digital artists — style transfer, image upscaling, and reference-based generation. Our users are illustrators, concept artists, and game designers who need AI that understands artistic intent, not just pixel patterns. This part-time research internship (15-20h/week) is for a student or early-career researcher exploring computer vision. You'll work on experiments related to style representation learning: how can we encode an artist's style in a way that's transferable, controllable, and respectful of creative intent? You'll report to our lead researcher and have access to our GPU cluster for experiments. We publish our findings when possible, and previous interns have co-authored papers. If you're studying CV and want to apply it to something creative, this is a unique opportunity.

Fully remote.

Responsibilities

  • Run experiments on style representation and transfer learning
  • Implement and benchmark models from recent CV papers
  • Analyze experimental results and prepare internal research reports
  • Assist with dataset curation for artistic style datasets
  • Present findings in weekly research meetings

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a CS/ML degree program
  • Python and PyTorch proficiency
  • Strong understanding of CNN architectures and vision transformers
  • Ability to read and implement ML research papers
  • Available for 15-20 hours/week
