About the role

Eighty thousand customer support tickets a month. That's what our clients' teams handle, and our AI assistant already resolves 40% of them automatically. The goal for this year: 65%. Not by cutting corners — by making the assistant genuinely smarter about when to answer, when to escalate, and when to ask a clarifying question. You'll work on the conversational engine: intent detection, context management across multi-turn dialogues, knowledge retrieval from client documentation, and response generation with appropriate tone matching. The stack is LangChain, FastAPI, and a custom RAG pipeline backed by client-specific knowledge bases. We measure everything — resolution rate, customer satisfaction, escalation accuracy — and your work will be evaluated against those numbers weekly. If you like tight feedback loops and measurable impact, this role delivers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and optimize multi-turn conversational AI pipelines
  • Improve intent detection and escalation logic for support scenarios
  • Design RAG workflows for client-specific knowledge retrieval
  • Partner with product to analyze conversation logs and identify failure patterns
  • Ship improvements weekly and track impact on resolution metrics

Requirements

  • 3+ years in software engineering with NLP or chatbot experience
  • Hands-on experience with LangChain and OpenAI API
  • Experience building RAG systems for knowledge retrieval
  • Strong Python skills with FastAPI
  • Comfort with data analysis and metrics-driven development
