About the role

We serve over 200 enterprise clients who depend on our compliance monitoring platform staying accurate in real time. Our data engineering team is small, distributed across five countries, and fully async — we don't care where you work from, we care about output, clear communication, and ownership. The product ingests regulatory filings and policy changes through Kafka streams, transforms them with Spark, and lands them in Snowflake for downstream compliance checks. We expect you to keep those pipelines reliable and to speak up early when something looks off.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Kafka-based ingestion pipelines for regulatory filing data
  • Build and optimize Spark transformations feeding our Snowflake warehouse
  • Flag pipeline anomalies early and document root causes clearly

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Kafka, Spark, and Snowflake in production
  • Comfort working async across time zones with limited real-time overlap
  • Ability to write clear documentation for pipeline changes
