Data Visualization Engineer

About the role

Our data catalog has thousands of tables that nobody can visually explore without writing SQL first. We're looking for someone to fix that. You'll build lightweight visualization tools that let non-technical data stewards explore lineage and quality metrics without touching a query editor. You'll work under a senior engineer who'll pair with you closely for your first few months.

Responsibilities

  • Build visualization components for internal data catalog tools
  • Translate stakeholder requests into simple, usable charts
  • Maintain existing Tableau and Power BI dashboards
  • Write SQL queries to power new visualizations

Requirements

  • 1+ years working with SQL and a visualization tool
  • Basic Python skills
  • Eagerness to learn from senior engineers
  • Attention to detail in data presentation
