About the role

Our support bot is not a disaster, but it is underperforming enough that confidence has dropped. We want a freelancer who can diagnose retrieval, prompt, and fallback issues quickly, improve the workflow, and leave us with something sturdier than a patch. If you have done rescue work on LLM systems before, this is that kind of project.

Key Deliverables

  • Improve retrieval, prompts, and guardrails in the highest-volume flows
  • Add lightweight evaluations so internal teams can measure future changes
  • Work asynchronously with product and support leads during the engagement

  • Strong freelance or contract experience with LLM systems
  • Python for backend adjustments and analysis
  • LangChain or equivalent orchestration experience
  • OpenAI API in production use cases
  • RAG debugging and retrieval tuning experience
  • SQL for conversation review and issue analysis
