About the role

We map the world's infrastructure from space. Our models analyze satellite imagery to detect new construction, monitor road conditions, track agricultural land use, and assess climate risk for insurance underwriters. Every pixel in a satellite image tells a story — our job is to read it at scale. You'll lead the geospatial ML pipeline: segmentation models for land use classification, change detection algorithms for infrastructure monitoring, and the distributed processing system that makes it all work on petabytes of imagery. The stack is PyTorch for models, Spark for data processing, and GCP for everything infrastructure. This is a senior role for someone who lives at the intersection of computer vision and geospatial data. Remote sensing experience is a strong plus, but deep CV skills with a willingness to learn the domain will also work.

Responsibilities

  • Build segmentation and change detection models for satellite imagery analysis
  • Design distributed processing pipelines for petabyte-scale imagery on GCP
  • Develop land use classification models for insurance and agricultural clients
  • Architect the geospatial ML pipeline for horizontal scaling
  • Collaborate with domain experts on remote sensing feature engineering

Requirements

  • 5+ years in computer vision or geospatial ML
  • Strong PyTorch skills for segmentation and detection tasks
  • Experience with large-scale distributed data processing (Spark)
  • GCP infrastructure experience
  • Remote sensing or geospatial data experience preferred
