Junior AI Copywriting Tools Developer

About the role

Our AI creative platform helps marketing teams produce ad copy, product descriptions, email subject lines, and social content at scale. The platform has 18,000 users and generates 2 million content pieces per month. Behind the scenes, it is a collection of prompt chains, output validators, style guides, and brand voice enforcements that turn a single brief into on-brand content variants. You'll be the third engineer on the content generation team, helping build and maintain the prompt engineering infrastructure. That means: new content templates when clients request formats we don't yet support, prompt optimization when output quality drifts, output validation that catches off-brand or factually wrong content before it reaches users, and A/B testing infrastructure for comparing prompt variants. You'll learn a lot about prompt engineering, LLM APIs, and production AI systems in this role. The senior engineers will teach you what they know, and there's a clear path to taking ownership of specific content verticals within a year.

Responsibilities

  • Build new content generation templates for ad copy, email, and social formats
  • Maintain and optimize existing prompt chains when output quality regresses
  • Implement output validation to catch off-brand or factually problematic content
  • Build A/B testing infrastructure for comparing prompt performance
  • Monitor content quality metrics and surface issues to senior engineers
  • Document prompt engineering patterns and maintain a template library

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Python development experience
  • Basic familiarity with LLM APIs like OpenAI or Anthropic
  • Interest in language, writing, and content marketing domains
  • Attention to output quality and ability to evaluate what good looks like
  • Clean code practices and willingness to write tests
