Junior AI Learning Outcome Reporting Developer

About the role

School districts and corporate L&D teams that license our adaptive learning platform have one question above all others: did the learners actually learn? Not 'did they complete modules' — that's engagement, not learning. They want evidence of knowledge gain, skill progression, and retention over time, delivered in reports that administrators can share with stakeholders who don't know what a neural network is. As a junior developer on the outcomes reporting team, you'll build and maintain the data pipelines and report templates that answer that question. You'll pull assessment performance data, compute pre/post learning gain metrics, build visualizations that show skill progression curves, and generate the automated reports that go to administrators each month. Senior engineers own the adaptive learning algorithms; you own the layer that makes their impact visible to the humans who bought the platform. This is a great role for someone who finds meaning in building tools that help educators understand what's working. The users of your work — teachers, training managers, school administrators — will tell you directly when the reports are useful and when they're not.

Responsibilities

  • Build data pipelines aggregating assessment performance and progression data
  • Compute pre/post learning gain metrics and skill mastery progression curves
  • Create automated monthly outcome reports for administrator stakeholders
  • Build interactive dashboards for real-time learner progress monitoring
  • Implement data validation ensuring report accuracy before delivery
  • Update report templates as new assessment types and learning modules launch

Requirements

  • 1+ year of Python and SQL development experience
  • Basic experience building dashboards or reports
  • Interest in education technology or learning analytics
  • Attention to accuracy in data reported to external stakeholders
  • Good written communication for report narrative generation
