Junior AI Localization QA Automation Assistant

About the role

Have you ever wanted to help ship software that actually reads naturally in a dozen languages, instead of sounding like it was translated by a machine and never checked again? Our localization QA process is still mostly manual spot-checks. You will build the first automated layer that flags likely mistranslations, tone mismatches, and broken string interpolation before they reach a human reviewer. You'll work under our Localization Engineering lead, learning how production translation memory systems and evaluation pipelines actually work while contributing real automation from week one.

Responsibilities

  • Build automated checks that flag likely mistranslations and broken string interpolation
  • Partner with human QA reviewers to prioritize which flags are worth their time
  • Maintain a growing regression suite of known translation edge cases
  • Help evaluate open-source multilingual models for use in the QA pipeline
  • Document QA automation coverage gaps for the localization team

Requirements

  • Some hands-on experience with Python, through coursework or personal projects
  • Interest in NLP and multilingual text processing
  • Comfortable using Hugging Face libraries at a basic level
  • Detail-oriented and comfortable working across multiple languages you may not speak
