Junior AI Marketing Performance Dashboard Developer

About the role

Our AI creative platform generates ad variants, email campaigns, and social content for 240 mid-market brands. The platform handles creation well. What it doesn't do well is telling clients how their AI-generated content performs compared to their human-written content — which is the question every client asks at the 90-day review. This is a part-time freelance role, 20-25 hours per week, to build the performance comparison dashboard. You'll pull performance metrics from platform integrations (Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Mailchimp, HubSpot), compute like-for-like comparisons between AI-generated and human-generated content, and build the dashboards that client success managers use in review calls. You don't need deep ML experience — this is primarily a data pipeline and visualization project. If you can write clean SQL, build reliable data pipelines, and produce dashboards that marketing people find intuitive, you'll succeed here. The senior engineer will handle the API authentication and rate limiting; you'll own the data transformation and visualization layers.

Responsibilities

  • Build data pipelines pulling performance metrics from advertising and email platforms
  • Implement like-for-like comparison logic between AI-generated and human-generated content
  • Create dashboards showing performance trends, top performers, and content type comparison
  • Maintain data freshness for client review calls with daily update SLAs
  • Write documentation for dashboard features and data source definitions
  • Handle metric inconsistencies across different platform API schemas

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience building dashboards or data visualizations
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation
  • Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
  • Basic understanding of digital advertising metrics: CTR, CPC, ROAS
  • Comfort working asynchronously with clear deliverables
