About the role

PyTorch segmentation models, a render farm of 60 GPU nodes and Nuke scripts held together with a lot of Python: that is the toolkit you'll work with at Helvex Studio. We're a post-production house of 40 people working on feature films and streaming series, and our artists still spend days hand-rotoscoping actors frame by frame. You'll help build the pipeline that pre-generates mattes so artists only fix edges instead of drawing from scratch. Expect to split your week between our Paris studio and home, learn from a senior pipeline TD, and see your work on screen within months.

Responsibilities

  • Integrate pretrained segmentation models into our shot-preparation pipeline
  • Write Python tools that push generated mattes into artists' compositing scenes
  • Collect artist feedback on matte quality and turn it into measurable test cases
  • Help maintain render farm job scripts for batch inference runs

Requirements

  • Solid Python fundamentals and basic familiarity with PyTorch
  • Some exposure to image processing or computer vision, academic projects count
  • Interest in film, VFX or animation pipelines
  • Conversational French is helpful but not required
