About the role

We process live game data for 8 professional sports leagues and build the analytics dashboards that front offices, coaches, and broadcast teams use to make real-time decisions. The data is rich — player tracking at 25 frames per second, play-by-play event logs, biometric feeds from wearables — and the visualizations that surface it need to be fast, intuitive, and accurate under time pressure. As a junior developer, you'll build and maintain the dashboard layer that sits between our data pipelines and the humans who use them. Most of the ML models are already built by senior researchers; your job is making their outputs accessible through dashboards that coaches can use during a 45-second timeout and front office analysts can drill into post-game. You'll learn a lot here. The senior team will walk you through the ML models, the sports domain, and the engineering patterns we use. Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain analytics dashboards for coaching staff and front office teams
  • Integrate ML model outputs into real-time visualization components
  • Implement data tables, drill-down filters, and export functions for post-game analysis
  • Optimize dashboard load times for sub-2-second response during live games
  • Fix bugs and handle data rendering issues reported by clients
  • Document dashboard architecture and data source connections

Requirements

  • 1+ year of experience building dashboards or data visualizations
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation
  • Familiarity with visualization tools like Tableau, Plotly, or similar
  • Interest in sports analytics or live event data
  • Attention to detail and ability to work to tight data freshness requirements
