About the role
We are a small research-backed NLP company working on language tools for multilingual communities. We have a warm, collaborative team and we are genuinely excited about welcoming our first junior NLP analyst. Your job will be to help evaluate model outputs, manage annotation workflows, and assist with dataset preparation. You will learn NLP in practice — not from slides, but from real models doing real things. We take onboarding seriously and will invest the time to teach you what you don't know yet.
Responsibilities
- Manage annotation batches using our Label Studio setup
- Evaluate model outputs against gold-standard test sets
- Prepare and clean text datasets for fine-tuning experiments
- Document annotation guidelines and flag edge cases for the senior team
- Gradually take on model evaluation tasks independently
Requirements
- Interest in natural language processing and a basic understanding of how text models work
- Python basics — comfortable reading and modifying scripts
- Attention to detail — annotation and evaluation work requires precision
- Good written communication in English
- Bonus: any exposure to Hugging Face, annotation tools (Label Studio, Prodigy), or multilingual data
