Junior NLP Engineer

About the role

We just closed a new funding round and are scaling our voice and language team fast. We believe conversational AI should be accessible to organizations that could never afford custom voice infrastructure, and our tools are already used by community health lines and small nonprofits. We need a junior NLP engineer to help us process and clean the transcript data that trains our language models, working alongside senior researchers who will mentor you closely as you grow into a full modeling role.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and preprocess transcript data used for model training
  • Build simple evaluation scripts to flag low-quality transcripts
  • Support senior engineers with data labeling review
  • Write documentation for internal NLP tooling
  • Learn our model training pipeline hands-on with mentorship

Requirements

  • 0-2 years experience with NLP or applied machine learning
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Exposure to Hugging Face or similar NLP libraries
  • Basic understanding of statistics
  • Eagerness to learn from senior researchers
