About the role

An insurance claim arrives messy, incomplete, and emotional. Our job is not to automate empathy. It is to help adjusters triage faster, route better, and spend their time on judgment instead of repetitive review. We are hiring an ML engineer who can work on classification, extraction, and workflow intelligence without losing sight of the operational context around every prediction.

Responsibilities

  • Improve routing and document understanding models in the claims workflow
  • Own parts of the training, evaluation, and deployment pipeline
  • Work with claims operations to understand costly failure modes
  • Design monitoring for output quality and exception handling
  • Contribute to internal tooling that shortens experiment cycles

Requirements

  • 4+ years in production ML engineering
  • Python for services and model tooling
  • PyTorch or TensorFlow for training and inference workflows
  • SQL for labels, audit trails, and analysis
  • Statistics for model validation and threshold setting
  • Experience with production APIs and latency-aware model deployment
