About the role

We are a small research lab building foundation models for scientific discovery. We need a research engineer who can implement and extend cutting-edge generative AI architectures and move fast between research ideas and working prototypes.

Responsibilities

  • Implement generative model architectures from research papers
  • Run training experiments on cloud GPU clusters
  • Analyse and present experimental results clearly
  • Contribute to internal research reports and external publications
  • Work closely with research scientists on model development

Requirements

  • Strong Python and PyTorch
  • Able to read, understand, and implement ML research papers
  • Experience with transformer architectures and generative models
  • Familiarity with distributed training (FSDP, DeepSpeed)
  • Track record of contributing to open-source ML projects is a strong plus
