About the role

Legal teams use our product to find risky clauses, compare fallback language, and summarise negotiation deltas. We need an NLP engineer who cares about precision more than demo polish. The role combines retrieval, classification, and careful evaluation on domain-specific corpora where small mistakes can be expensive.

Responsibilities

  • Improve clause retrieval and risk tagging for enterprise contract workflows
  • Build evaluation sets around real legal review tasks
  • Work with product and legal specialists to understand false positives that matter
  • Tune retrieval and reranking to reduce noisy results
  • Document model and prompt choices for long-term maintenance

Requirements

  • 4+ years in NLP, search, or document intelligence work
  • Python for pipeline and evaluation code
  • Hugging Face model workflows for embeddings and classification
  • LlamaIndex or LangChain for retrieval orchestration
  • RAG practices with grounding and citation discipline
  • SQL for corpus metadata and evaluation management
