About the role

Our team just grew to a dozen people, and you'd be the third NLP engineer joining, working directly with our data science group on document understanding for insurance workflows. We already have a working retrieval pipeline built on LangChain and a growing library of fine-tuned prompt templates. What's missing is someone to push the quality bar higher — better grounding, fewer hallucinated clauses, tighter prompt engineering discipline. We publish internally and encourage conference submissions, so you'll be expected to read papers and implement findings rather than just reuse off-the-shelf recipes.

Responsibilities

  • Design and evaluate retrieval-augmented generation pipelines using LangChain
  • Benchmark hallucination rates and drive down error against ground truth
  • Prototype new prompt engineering techniques from recent research papers

Requirements

  • Deep familiarity with Hugging Face models and RAG architectures
  • Experience evaluating LLM output quality at scale
  • Ability to read and implement techniques from NLP research papers
