About the role

We are not trying to build a magical banker in a box. We are trying to save our loan operations team from copying information between PDFs, email threads, and internal systems all day. If you enjoy practical LLM work where the right answer is often a smaller prompt, better evaluation, or a rule-based fallback, this role will make sense immediately.

Responsibilities

  • Improve extraction and summarisation flows across underwriting documents
  • Build prompt and retrieval evaluations before shipping changes
  • Reduce hallucinations in internal recommendation and drafting tools
  • Work directly with operations specialists to understand failure cases
  • Document prompt versions and decision logic so the system stays maintainable

Requirements

  • 2+ years in prompt engineering, NLP, or LLM product work
  • Prompt Engineering with disciplined testing habits
  • OpenAI API experience in real workflows
  • LangChain or similar orchestration tooling
  • RAG for grounded document workflows
  • SQL for evaluation sets and operations analysis
